Institutes, Cohorts, and other PD
This section delves into the various professional development (PD) opportunities within educational institutes, focusing on the formation of cohorts and other collaborative structures.
The EARCOS Leadership Learning Collective is a new and exciting partnership between EARCOS and Leadership Lab Global. Part leadership retreat, part speaker series, and part peer coaching, this experience is a 10-month leadership journey for senior leaders from international schools in the Asia region. Co-facilitated by Leadership Lab Global Director Dr Chris Jansen and Ellie Alchin, Director of Teaching and Learning at United World College Singapore, the journey begins in September 2025 and concludes in May 2026. During this time, participants will gather for two 2-day face-to-face retreats hosted at the International School of Bangkok, and also reconnect online between retreats for interactions on leadership themes with guest speakers and peer coaching.
Since launching in early July, over 20 pairs of leaders have registered for the Leadership Learning Collective from over 10 countries. Please register your interest for the waitlist or next year's cohort via the link above or contact chris@leadershiplab.co.nz for more information.

PeerSphere: Where Your Role Meets the Right Community
At Shenzhen College of International Education (SCIE), leadership recognised the need for professional development that reaches every staff member, not just teachers. As Richard Driscoll, Academic Deputy Principal, shares:
“PeerSphere is one of the ways we can show staff that whatever you want to develop, we can provide that (PD) training.”
Since joining PeerSphere, SCIE has doubled participation in professional learning, with nearly 100 staff, both teachers and non-teaching staff, finding relevant, timely communities and support. This inclusive approach earned a Council of International Schools (CIS) commendation and, in 2024, 95% of SCIE staff reported they could access the PD they needed. Read SCIE’s full story.
